Policy on the Use of BSECA Approval Page
1. Purpose of This Policy
This policy sets out the rules and conditions governing the use of BSECA approval status, name, and related references by approved organisations and professionals. The purpose of this policy is to ensure accurate representation, protect the integrity of BSECA approval frameworks, and prevent misleading or improper use.
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to:
• Approved training providers
• Approved organisations
• Approved professionals
• Applicants granted conditional or provisional approval
All approved parties are required to comply with this policy at all times.
3. Meaning of BSECA Approval
BSECA approval indicates that an organisation or professional has been reviewed and recognised under relevant BSECA governance, evaluation, and accreditation frameworks.
Approval:
• Relates only to the defined scope granted
• Does not imply government recognition or statutory authority
• Does not constitute official ISO certification
Approval status is subject to ongoing review and may be suspended or withdrawn.
4. Permitted Use of BSECA Approval
Approved parties may:
• State that they are “Approved by BSECA” or “BSECA-Approved Training Provider.”
• Reference BSECA approval in corporate profiles, websites, and marketing materials
• Display BSECA approval status in relation to the approved scope only
All references must be factual, accurate, and consistent with the granted approval.
5. Prohibited Use of BSECA Approval
Approved parties must not:
• Claim or imply that BSECA issues official ISO certificates
• Use phrases such as “ISO Certified by BSECA” or “Government-approved.”
• Suggest guaranteed outcomes, certification, or regulatory authority
• Use BSECA approval outside the approved scope
• Allow third parties to use BSECA without authorisation
Any misleading or inaccurate representation is strictly prohibited.
6. Use of Logos, Marks, and References
Where applicable:
• Use of any BSECA logo, badge, or approval mark is subject to written authorisation
• Logos and references must not be altered, distorted, or combined with other marks
• Use must comply with BSECA branding and communication guidelines
Unauthorised use of logos or marks is not permitted.
7. Monitoring and Review
BSECA reserves the right to:
• Monitor the use of its approval status and references
• Request correction or removal of improper use
• Review approval status at any time
Failure to comply with this policy may result in suspension or withdrawal of approval.
8. Suspension and Withdrawal of Approval
BSECA may suspend or withdraw approval where:
• This policy is breached
• Approval is misrepresented
• Required standards are no longer met
• Requested corrective actions are not implemented
Decisions relating to suspension or withdrawal are final.
9. Reporting Misuse
Any suspected misuse of BSECA approval may be reported to BSECA for review.
Reports will be handled confidentially and in accordance with internal governance procedures.
10. Acceptance of This Policy
By accepting or retaining BSECA approval, approved parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this policy.
